MATTER AND SHAPE 2025
DESIGN
In the beautiful surroundings of the Jardin des Tuileries, amid the vibrant rhythm of Paris Fashion Week, a new chapter in design culture was written. MATTER and SHAPE 2025, the second edition of a design salon unlike any other, positioned itself at the very intersection of art, materiality, and modern craftsmanship. Conceived as a response to the evolving language of global design, the salon created a platform that was both elevated and experimental—inviting design houses, artists, and studios to reimagine the meaning of material expression today.
Powered by the international salon experts at WSN, MATTER and SHAPE speaks directly to an engaged audience. MATTER and SHAPE’s strong ties with design collectors, architects, interior designers, decorators, journalists, and tastemakers—both from Paris and internationally—ensure a high-profile audience spanning the worlds of design, fashion, art, architecture, and luxury.
Originally launched as a virtual design platform, MATTER and SHAPE now boasts a dynamic online community and an integrated network of design professionals. Last year marked its debut as a physical event, and this second edition continues to build on that success, affirming its position as a refined space for encounters and dialogue within the contemporary design landscape.
Ark Journal is proud to have acted as official media partner for the second edition of the salon and supports MATTER and SHAPE in this vision.

CASE STUDY
— DISSONANT BEAUTY
As in music, interior design calls on many elements – rhythm, contrast, repetition – to create that most subjective of visions: beauty.
