ART
Go behind the scenes of Art Dubai to meet Farshad Farzankia, a rising star of the art world with a cinematic eye and a dreamer’s heart. The Danish Iranian artist created a series of drawings especially for the premiere issue of Ark Journal, and invited us into his Copenhagen studio for a talk about his urge to devour images and how to be present in the instance of painting.
“I WORK A LOT WITH THE SUBCONSCIOUS BEING WHERE IT’S AT IN THE INSTANCE OF PAINTING. IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO GET IN A STATE WHERE THERE’S SOMETHING WORTH EXPLORING AND HOLDING ONTO.”
